A lot of the best moments on a wedding day happen quietly and pass just as quickly. Small looks, in-between conversations, the way people move through the day without thinking about it. Those are the things that tend to get lost, and they’re often the ones that mean the most later.
My approach is a balance between the two. I want to let the day unfold naturally, while still creating space for portraits that feel intentional. With a background in filmmaking, I approach portraits more like directing a scene than posing one. I’ll give you the direction, setting, and movement to create something that feels natural, then let you make it your own. The focus is on noticing those moments as they happen and keeping them, so when you look back years from now, you’re not just seeing how the day looked, you’re remembering how it felt.
Weddings move fast, but the details don’t have to disappear. Having them captured means you get to return to them: the parts you missed, the ones you forgot, and the ones you didn’t even know were happening.
